On Saturday I helped throw a surprise 30th birthday party for my cousin, Jennifer (who is really more like a sister to me). The planning of the surprise on top of everything else going on was the biggest unlisted stress last week, but I'm happy to report that we were a success!! She was stunned! It helped that we went to Six Flags Magic Mountain on her actual birthday last Thursday to celebrate so she wasn't expecting anything else. I'm so happy we did it but I'll be honest: I didn't get much reading done as a result! Well worth it, though!
Last Week I Finished Reading: Requiem by Lauren Oliver
This Week I Plan on Reading: , The Great Gatsby (re-read) by F. Scott Fitzgerald and Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
This Week I'm Sharing a Review For: Priceless by Nicole Richie

Aw, oh my gosh, that is such a sweet thing to do. The party looks really fun. Great job on throwing her off with the Magic Mountain trip. :) I own one Lauren Oliver book, Before I Fall, but I haven't read it yet. I will though, I heard she's a really good author.
ReplyDeleteI loved The Great Gatsby. I've read Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell and it was amazing. The rest of Rowell's books are on my TBR list. Attachments really interests me.
I recently discovered a book called The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova at a book sale Saturday and The Bookman's Tale and The House of Velvet and Glass by Charlie Lovett from another blog.
Have a good week. :)

I loved Attachments - I'm not sure it's Rowell's best but all her books are good! Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteThe party looks amazing! The "Jen and juice" sign is awesome! I'm glad it worked out and it was so much fun!
